PGE To Finalize Baltica 2 Offshore Wind Farm With Orsted Collaboration

Rymarz Zdort Maruta is serving as an advisor for PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna in the implementation of the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm project, being developed in collaboration with the Orsted Group. Orsted, a Denmark-based energy company, specializes in the offshore wind market. The project, which has an estimated budget of around PLN 30 billion, aims to deliver a total capacity of 1.5 gigawatts by 2027. This initiative is part of a broader offshore wind program intending to generate 2.5 gigawatts total capacity by 2030, distributed across two phases. The first phase, Baltica Wind Power Plant-3, will have a capacity of 1 gigawatt, while the second, Baltica Wind Power Plant-2, will supply 1.5 gigawatts. PGE and Orsted have entered into a lease agreement for the Gdansk T5 terminal, which was executed in 2024 and commenced the Baltica 2 cable line connection. Legal teams from Rymarz Zdort Maruta, Hengeler Mueller, and SK&S are involved in various aspects of the project.
