Peninsula Capital Corp., a Toronto-based real estate investment firm, has announced the acquisition of 959 single-family rental units in the Midwest U.S., covering markets in Kansas City, St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Columbus. This strategic acquisition aligns with Peninsula's long-term plan to expand its single-family rental platform in economically resilient regions. Previously, their holdings were limited to Buffalo, Rochester, and Cleveland, totaling 1,168 units. With this expansion, Peninsula now manages over 2,200 rental units across the U.S. Northeast and Midwest. The purchase aligns with Peninsula's data-driven investment approach, capitalizing on the Midwest's attractive housing fundamentals, including affordability and high demand. According to CEO Mike Appelton, this move is a milestone in their growth strategy and promises strong returns for investors while providing professionally managed, affordable housing for tenants.
