Pemberton Successfully Completes €8.4bn Direct Lending Fundraise

Pemberton Asset Management, a prominent European private credit manager, has completed its direct lending fundraising cycle, surpassing expectations with a total of €8.4 billion. The fundraising includes the final close of two senior loan funds amounting to €6.1 billion by 2025, and the Strategic Credit Fund III at €2.3 billion by 2024. This significant achievement highlights investors' growing interest in private credit as an asset class and bolsters Pemberton's standing in the market. Pemberton's direct lending strategies cater to the dynamic requisites of private equity sponsors and mid-sized companies throughout Europe, deploying €4.6 billion across three lending strategies in 2024. The funds particularly focus on industries such as technology, business services, biotechnology, and life sciences. The firm has also successfully expanded its investor base beyond Europe, garnering 70 new investors from Asia, the Middle East, and North America.
