Ovivo Inc., a global leader in water and wastewater treatment technology, has announced an agreement to sell its Electronics division to Ecolab, a major sustainability and water solutions firm, for approximately CAD 2.4 billion. The transaction is set to conclude in the first quarter of 2026 pending regulatory approvals. This strategic divestiture allows Ovivo to focus on accelerating growth in its remaining sectors: Municipal/Industrial/PFAS, Energy, and the Cembrane SiC membrane divisions. President and CEO of Ovivo, Marc Barbeau, highlighted that this transition ushers in new opportunities, bolstered by a renowned track record of teamwork and innovation. This shift is part of Ovivo’s broader strategy to enhance their footprint in North America through acquisitions, and to promote closer integration with SKion Water, its parent company.
