Orbian Moves to Acquire Platebni Instituce Roger from KB SmartSolutions

In a strategic transaction, Orbian, a British financial institution, has been advised by Eversheds Sutherland on the acquisition of Platebni Instituce Roger, a fintech start-up, from KB SmartSolutions and other shareholders. Roger specializes in speeding up the invoice maturity process and financing supply chains for large enterprises, establishing itself as a significant player in Central Europe with a track record of funding over CZK 40 billion in invoices. Notably, the transaction is contingent on receiving regulatory approval. Eversheds Sutherland brought together a team led by Counsel Michal Hrabovsky, including several associates, demonstrating depth in their transactional advisory capability. For the selling shareholders, BPV Braun Partners, represented by Partner Ondrej Ponistiak, navigated the interests of Echilon Capital, showcasing their cross-border advisory expertise in financial and corporate law.
