Okoenergie Advances Pillichsdorf III Wind Farm Expansion

The Austrian legal firm Schoenherr has provided advisory services to Okoenergie Beteiligungs on the repowering and expansion of the Pillichsdorf III wind farm located in Lower Austria. The project aims to significantly scale up the wind farm's capacity and production of renewable energy. As part of the upgrade, five older turbines will be removed and replaced by seven cutting-edge turbines, increasing the total capacity from 10 megawatts to 50.4 megawatts. This modernization is poised to raise the wind farm's annual energy generation to around 105 million kilowatt-hours, which is sufficient to supply electricity to over 33,000 households. The legal team from Schoenherr included Partners Christoph Jirak and Christian Schmelz, with Attorney at Law Sarah Wolf also contributing to the advisory process.
