The acquisition, completed for an undisclosed sum, adds 55 properties to Classic Cottages' already substantial portfolio of over 1,400 properties. This move is part of a series of strategic acquisitions made by Classic Cottages, including previous takeovers of Norfolk Holiday Homes and Yorkshire Dales-based Cat Hole Cottages. Furthermore, Classic Cottages' parent company, Sapphire Holidays, had earlier this year acquired Dorset's Grandeur Property Management, signifying a broader expansion strategy. According to Dan Harrison, the commercial director of Classic Cottages, the acquisition of Ocean Cottages strengthens the company's presence in the South West of England.
