Nuuk Secures Additional $2M in Series A Funding

Nuuk, a Gurugram-based D2C home appliance startup, has successfully raised an additional $2 million in its Series A funding round, bringing the total funding to over $10 million. The funds were secured from existing investors Vertex Ventures SEA and Good Capital. The company, founded in 2023 by Gazal Kalra and Shalabh Gupta, intends to leverage this new capital to expand its product portfolio, enhance product innovation, and increase its business reach. Nuuk currently offers various home appliances and plans to boost its Made-in-India supply chain from 20% to over 50% by FY26. Despite posting a financial loss in FY24, the company aims to grow its sales figures significantly. The broader home appliance industry in India is attracting considerable investments, as other brands have also raised significant funding to capture a part of the expanding smart home market, which is projected to grow to $19.31 billion by 2030.
