NRTC Expands with Acquisition of Al Hashemeya Farms

NRTC Food Holding, a distributor of fruits and vegetables in the GCC, has acquired Al Hashemeya Farms in Egypt as part of its strategy to strengthen regional food security. This acquisition allows NRTC to integrate upstream agricultural operations into its supply chain, ensuring high-quality produce and reducing dependency on third-party suppliers. Al Hashemeya Farms spans 10,000 acres with a variety of cultivated crops and modern agricultural infrastructure. This step enhances NRTC's distribution network resilience while opening avenues for further agri-investment across Africa focused on climate-resilient models. Established in 1973, NRTC continues to serve a broad range of customers through wholesale and its consumer platform, NRTC Fresh.
