This organizational adjustment aims to consolidate expertise across asset classes, including unlisted and listed real estate and renewable infrastructure, enabling NBIM to enhance its energy investment acumen and ambitions. Chief Investment Officer Real Assets, Mie Caroline Holstad, will depart after contributing significantly to NBIM’s real assets strategies over the past decade. Effective January 1, 2025, the newly formed Active Strategies unit will be overseen by Co-Chief Investment Officers, Daniel Balthasar and Pedro Furtado Reis, based in London.
