Nofar USA to Develop Texas Energy Storage Projects with Qcells

Nofar USA, a subsidiary of Nofar Energy, has partnered with Qcells USA Corp. to develop two significant utility-scale energy storage projects in Texas, aiming for a combined capacity of 350MW, delivering a total of 700 megawatt-hours over two hours. These projects, named Bracero Pecan and Fairway, are strategically located in ERCOT West and ERCOT North, respectively, to enhance grid resilience and support Texas's shift towards renewable energy. Qcells will assist in development while Nofar will deploy and operate the installations. Construction is slated to begin within the year, targeting operational status by 2027. Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP is advising Nofar USA, with a team led by Finance partner Shellka Arora-Cox, and other specialists contributing across various legal disciplines.
