Nicholas Folly, an experienced trial lawyer and former Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, has rejoined Debevoise & Plimpton LLP as Counsel in the firm's San Francisco office. Mr. Folly will serve in the White Collar and Regulatory Defense Group, advising clients on a wide range of white collar criminal defense matters that include securities, investment advisor fraud, money laundering, and emerging technologies. His role covers representation in complex frauds and white collar crime. Having spent eight and a half years at the SDNY, Mr. Folly has a formidable background in major white collar investigations, including securities fraud and cyberattacks. The move comes as Debevoise looks to bolster its presence in the Bay Area, responding to increased client demand for litigation services. The firm has built a multidisciplinary litigation team, emphasizing capabilities in white collar, commercial, and intellectual property litigation.
