Niam: Niam Credit and Castlelake Launch €1B Nordic Real Estate Financing Venture

Castlelake, a global alternative investment manager, and Niam Credit, an alternative credit provider in Northern Europe, have announced a strategic partnership to deploy €1 billion in the Nordic real estate market. The collaboration aims to address the growing demand for flexible and tailored financing solutions that are becoming increasingly necessary as traditional bank lending declines due to regulatory pressures. The partnership's focus will be on whole loan lending across Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark, targeting all real estate asset classes for acquisitions and refinancings. Their inaugural deal involves providing a senior secured financing facility of NOK 1.9 billion for a portfolio of over 30 properties in central Oslo. This venture marks Niam Credit's first joint project and exemplifies their ability to support major sponsors with significant capital and customized finance structures. Castlelake has a long history of being active in asset-based opportunities across Europe, adding to their robust €7.2 billion investment portfolio.
