Nehlsen Expands with Acquisition of Karl Meyer AG

Global law firm Dentons has advised Nehlsen Aktiengesellschaft, an international environmental and waste management service provider, on its acquisition of Karl Meyer AG. Karl Meyer Group, based in Wischhafen, Lower Saxony, is a prominent player in the environmental and waste management sector in Northern Germany and employs approximately 800 people. This acquisition comes as the family business seeks succession alternatives. The merger will consolidate the strengths of both companies, enhancing efficiency in waste disposal processes and expanding services, particularly in maritime rubbish disposal. Dentons provided a multi-disciplinary legal team led by Thomas Schubert and Max Purnhagen. The financial specifics of the deal have not been disclosed, and the transaction awaits antitrust approval.
