Nama Power and Water Procurement (PWP), the sole purchaser of electricity and water for all IPPs and IWPPs in Oman, has issued a Request for Qualification (RFQ) for the establishment of two new gas-fired power plants with a total capacity of 2,400 megawatts (MW). These combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plants will be developed under the Independent Power Plant (IPP) model and will be located at Misfah and Duqm. The RFQ is intended exclusively for developers, excluding EPC contractors, with the final date for purchasing the RFQ documents set on February 6, 2025, and submission deadline slated for March 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
