MundiMoto Raises $22M to Expand Motorcycle Rental Business

MundiMoto, a Spain-based company specializing in the reconditioning and resale of motorcycles, has successfully raised a total of $22 million in its latest funding round, comprising $8.1 million in equity and $13.0 million in debt. The funding round was spearheaded by Orilla Asset Management, with existing investors Autotech Ventures, P101, and Mutua Madrileña also contributing. Debt financing was secured from Santander Consumer Finance, Banco Sabadell, and CaixaBank. MundiMoto currently operates in Spain and Italy, purchasing, reconditioning, and reselling motorcycles while also offering rentals of new motorcycles from well-known brands like Yamaha. CEO and co-founder Pepe Talavera has identified long-term motorcycle rentals as a key growth avenue, with rental services already accounting for 20% of MundiMoto's revenue in 2024, twice the previous year's figure. Talavera aspires to position MundiMoto as the leading motorcycle rental operator in Southern Europe. The company boasts over 50,000 motorcycles sold and a workforce of 300 employees, with both an online presence and physical outlets in major cities like Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Malaga, Milan, and Rome.
