MidEuropa Partners, a leading private equity firm, has announced the partial sale of its stake in Mlinar, a prominent bakery chain in the Adria region, to Bosqar Invest and co-investors. Despite this divestment, MidEuropa will retain a significant minority portion, reinforcing its dedication to strengthening Mlinar's status in Southeast Europe. Through strategic leadership under CEO Mladen Veber since MidEuropa's investment in 2019, Mlinar has doubled its revenues, expanded its store network, and modernized operations, elevating its market position across Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, and Serbia. The partnership with Bosqar Invest is set to further extend Mlinar's influence regionally and internationally. MidEuropa's transaction involved guidance from EY, Deloitte, and legal advisors Dechert and Karanovic Partners. The transaction is contingent on regulatory and antitrust approvals.
