Great Hill Partners, a private equity firm specializing in high-growth investments, has agreed to sell Mission Cloud Services Inc. to CDW, a prominent provider of IT solutions across business sectors in the U.S., U.K., and Canada. Mission Cloud, which started as an idea developed by Great Hill in collaboration with its founder, Simon Anderson, emerged as the largest independent AWS managed services provider under their stewardship. Initially funded in 2017, Great Hill expanded Mission's capabilities by acquiring and integrating three technology companies over the subsequent two years. This strategic direction was spearheaded by Anderson and Great Hill's proficient team, propelling Mission to a leadership position in offering comprehensive cloud, AI, and AWS management solutions. After transforming customer engagements and establishing a secure, innovative cloud framework, Mission's next chapter unfolds under CDW's ownership. The transaction marks the latest development in Great Hill's extensive portfolio activity, which has included strategic partnerships with numerous growth-focused companies since its inception in 1998.
