Mission CEO Clifton Departs Amidst Failed £32M Takeover Bid

James Clifton, CEO of Mission Group plc, has resigned after the company turned down a £32 million takeover offer from Brave Bison Group Plc. Mark Lund OBE has been appointed as interim group CEO. Lund, with a distinguished career in advertising, will help steer the company through this transition. Brave Bison, a tech agency, had earlier shown interest in acquiring Mission Group, hoping to integrate it and offer Mission's shareholders a 50% stake in the new combined entity. However, the lack of engagement from Mission's board led to Brave Bison retracting its bid, although the potential for future bids wasn't dismissed. Mission's shares have significantly fallen since the takeover bid, pointing to shareholder uncertainty. David Morgan, Mission's non-executive chair, expressed appreciation for Clifton's contributions and confidence in Lund's capability to guide Mission in the interim.
