Miller Takes Control of AHJ with Successful Acquisition

Miller, a specialist reinsurance and insurance broking group, successfully completed the acquisition of AHJ Holdings Ltd, the holding company of Alwen Hough Johnson Limited and AHJ Europe AS. This transaction, which closed on June 2 following regulatory approval, allows Miller to enhance its scale and capability in the reinsurance sector, gaining access to AHJ's robust presence in Nordic, Caribbean, and North American markets. Founded in 1973, AHJ is recognized for its expertise in various reinsurance lines including Property, Casualty, Marine, and Energy. The combined entity, known as AHJ Miller, will be led by Gary Masters and Shaun Sinniah, with the aim of delivering a strengthened client offering and a more comprehensive spectrum of reinsurance solutions. This acquisition aligns with Miller's strategic growth objectives, following previous acquisitions of 4809 Brokers and Bruzon. The union creates a powerful platform for delivering client-centric services, with AHJ's capabilities complementing Miller's specialty offerings.
