Millar, a global leader in MEMS sensor technology, has announced the successful acquisition and integration of Sentron, a company renowned for its sensor solutions, to strengthen its position as a leading vertically integrated Contract Design and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). With this strategic acquisition, Millar expands its capabilities in providing end-to-end design, manufacturing, and production services for precision sensors including pressure, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), and oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) sensors. This broadens applications in medical, industrial, and environmental sectors. Tim Daugherty, President and CEO of Millar, emphasized that integrating Sentron is more than an acquisition; it's a pivotal step in offering innovative, high-quality sensor solutions. By combining Sentron's expertise in microfoundry and pH/EC sensors with Millar's proficiency in precision pressure measurement, they enhance their ability to offer fully integrated solutions for various industries. Sentron has built a strong reputation for its ISFET pH, EC, and full-bridge pressure sensors. The acquisition enables Millar to manage the entire sensor supply chain effectively.
