MiddleGround Capital Appoints Jonathan La as CFO

MiddleGround Capital, a private equity firm focused on middle-market B2B industrial and specialty distribution companies in North America and Europe, has appointed Jonathan La as its new Chief Financial Officer. La, who joined the firm in February 2025, will oversee all financial operations and manage the Accounting and Fund Accounting teams across MiddleGround’s U.S. and European offices. With 25 years of experience in the private equity industry, La previously spent 17 years at Monomoy Capital Partners as Director of Finance. During his career, La has been instrumental in financial planning, treasury function management, and tax structuring. His new role will involve ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and developing efficient reporting structures. John Stewart, Founding and Managing Partner of MiddleGround, praised La's expertise and indicated the strategic value he brings to the firm. La's prior experience also includes roles at Evercore Partners, BISYS, and Deloitte & Touche LLP. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Bernard M. Baruch College and is a CPA.
