Midas, the leading investment platform in Turkey, has successfully closed an $80 million Series B funding round, marking the largest investment ever in a Turkish fintech company. This round was led by QED Investors and included the International Finance Corporation, HSG, QuantumLight, and Spice Expeditions LP as among the new investors. Previous investors Spark Capital, Portage Ventures, Bek Ventures, and individuals like Nigel Morris reaffirmed their confidence by participating again. The total financing for Midas now exceeds $140 million. The funds will be utilized to enhance security infrastructure, introduce advanced products for active traders, and roll out new investment tools. Since its founding in 2020, Midas has transformed investment practices in Turkey, particularly by reducing trading fees, and eliminated commissions on Borsa Istanbul, saving investors millions. The platform plans to expand into trading of derivatives, starting with U.S. options in September. Midas' mission is to make investing more accessible and secure, as it already serves 3.5 million investors.
