MetaCompliance attracts private equity investment from Keensight Capital

Paris-based private equity firm Keensight Capital has entered an exclusivity agreement to acquire a majority stake in the Northern Irish cybersecurity business MetaCompliance, as reported by Business Cloud. Founded in 2005 in Londonderry, MetaCompliance is recognized for its expertise in cybersecurity awareness and compliance software, designed to train employees on mitigating cyber threats and ensuring organizations adhere to complex regulatory obligations. Since 2021, the company has been supported by London-based growth equity investor Tenzing. Under Tenzing's backing, MetaCompliance has seen rapid growth, more than doubling in size and expanding to over 200 employees, with blue-chip enterprises and mid-market customers across Europe, the UK, and other regions. The company has also strategically extended its operations with acquisitions in Denmark and Germany and the launch of an offshore development center in Portugal. James Mackay, MetaCompliance’s CEO, expresses gratitude towards Tenzing for its instrumental role in its growth. Now, with Keensight as its new equity partner, MetaCompliance aims to scale its operations further. Both the outgoing investment lead at Tenzing, Milan Kellner, and the director at Keensight Capital, Jean-Christophe Cini, praised MetaCompliance’s achievements and welcomed this transition. The transaction is anticipated to be finalized in the coming year, pending customary regulatory approvals.
