MET Group Acquires Romanian Solar Project

In a strategic acquisition to bolster its renewable energy assets, the Green Assets Division of MET Group has completed the purchase of an 80-megawatt photovoltaic project in Rascaeti, Dambovita County, Romania. Dentons represented MET Group in the transaction while Vlasceanu & Partners acted on behalf of the seller, Austrian solar power developer Kraftfeld Energy. The project, acquired at a ready-to-build stage and equipped with an engineering, procurement, and construction agreement, significantly augments MET Group's existing renewable energy capacity in Romania. As part of MET Group's broader initiative, this acquisition enhances their energy portfolio which already features over 260 megawatts of photovoltaic capacity alongside a 10-megawatt battery energy storage facility.
