Mérieux NutriSciences Expands in Ecuador with New Acquisition

Mérieux NutriSciences, a leader in food safety and quality, has officially completed the acquisition of Bureau Veritas' food testing operations in Ecuador. This acquisition is a part of a global transaction with Bureau Veritas and marks Mérieux NutriSciences' strategic entry into the Ecuadorian market, enhancing its existing capabilities across Latin America. The acquisition includes a facility in Ecuador staffed with over 80 new employees and expands Mérieux NutriSciences' network to more than 140 laboratories worldwide. This integration aims to strengthen their services in microbiological and nutritional analysis and marks their commitment to providing inclusive and innovative solutions to support Ecuador's export-oriented economy. The acquisition is also a strategic move to boost the presence in food safety solutions across Latin America.
