In a strategic merger orchestrated by Venionaire Capital, Austrian tax-saving apps Mei Marie and RelaxTax have combined under the umbrella of Linde Digital to enhance the user experience in tax filing. The merger integrates the innovative solutions offered by both apps, providing a more comprehensive, user-friendly platform for taxpayers in Austria. Mei Marie, launched in October 2023 by Linde Verlag, focused on guiding users to maximize tax savings through personal responsibility. RelaxTax, introduced by a Vienna-based Tax-Tech startup in April 2024, added a hands-on approach with 'Tax Buddies' assisting users. Post-merger, the combined platform now includes a Bot Service allowing users to submit tax adjustments directly to authorities, enhancing security and compliance. RelaxTax will evolve into a multilingual app, expanding its reach to non-native German speakers in Austria. The merger signifies a transformative phase in the digital tax service industry in Austria.
