The private equity search fund Albor Capital has successfully acquired 100% of Manufacturas Deportivas (MD), marking its inaugural transaction. Albor Capital, founded two years ago by a consortium largely comprising Spanish investors, entrepreneurs, and family offices, has ended its first search phase with this acquisition. Based in Santander and founded over six decades ago, MD specializes in producing street furniture, playgrounds, and sports equipment. The company boasts an impressive EBITDA margin exceeding 20% and an annual growth rate of 25%, with 35% of its production exported. Under the leadership of Managing Partner Ramón Martín, Albor Capital aims to double MD's turnover by introducing new products and expanding into new markets, considering both organic growth and further acquisitions.
