Low Carbon Boosts Dutch Solar Capacity with 76 MW Portfolio

Global renewable energy company, Low Carbon, has successfully deployed a 76 MW portfolio consisting of four solar farms reaching commercial operation date (COD) in the Netherlands. This development reinforces Low Carbon's leading status in the Dutch renewables market, where they have now delivered a total of nearly 180 MW of solar capacity. Built in partnership with BELECTRIC GmbH, the projects, which include the Havebos, Werkhoven, Keppelseweg, and Mariahoop sites, will together provide clean electricity to over 27,000 homes and reduce CO2 emissions by 19,000 tonnes. Additionally, research is being undertaken at the Havebos site by Wageningen University and Research to develop guidelines for nature-friendly solar parks. Previously, Low Carbon announced the establishment of a 6 GW battery storage platform in the Netherlands, underscoring its impact and capacity in the region.
