LoanBook Secures Strategic Investment from Leading GCC Banks

CMS Law has advised LoanBook, a centralized digital marketplace for loan opportunities in the EMEA region, on receiving a strategic investment from Emirates NBD and Mashreq Bank, two prominent banks from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. LoanBook aims to automate workflows in the loan capital markets, and with this investment, it will gain resources, scale, and industry backing to enhance its offerings. CMS Corporate Partner Patrik Daintry highlighted the importance of this partnership in helping LoanBook reach its goal of digitizing and improving the efficiency of the syndicated loan market. This advisory is part of CMS's equIP program, which supports start-ups with strong intellectual property in the Middle East.
