Latvenergo Acquires DSE Aizpute Solar to Expand Renewable Energy Footprint

Latvenergo, a leading Latvian energy company, has successfully acquired DSE Aizpute Solar from Danish Sun Energy ApS. The transaction, facilitated by Cobalt Law Firm, enables Latvenergo to embark on the construction of a new solar power plant with a capacity of 265 megawatt-peak. The project, due for completion by 2025, signifies a substantial step in Latvia's renewable energy efforts, amounting to an estimated construction cost of EUR 135 million. Notably, the project also involves setting up a new substation called Cirava to connect with the Latvian national grid. Cobalt's legal team, featuring chief partners and associates, played a pivotal role in strategizing and executing the acquisition process. This acquisition aligns with Latvenergo's commitment to escalating its renewable energy operations and reducing reliance on non-renewable sources.
