LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW Expands with IDG Capital Acquisition

IDG Capital, a global private equity firm, has reached an agreement to acquire a majority stake in LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW, a Danish premium confectionery brand, from Valedo Partners Fund II AB. This acquisition, pending customary regulatory approvals, is part of IDG's strategy to bolster LBB's international growth in Europe, Asia, and the US. Since Valedo's investment in 2016, LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW has seen a significant increase in revenue, expanding its direct-to-consumer reach and growing its market presence in Germany, UAE, UK, and more recently, the US. The brand's revenue hit 376 MDKK in 2024, three times the figure from 2016. With IDG Capital's backing, LBB aims to leverage the firm's expertise to enhance its multichannel strategy and sustain its growth momentum.
