Kuwait to Expand Subiya Power Plant with 900MW Turbines

Kuwait's Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Ministry plans to issue tenders for expanding the generation capacity of the Subiya power plant by 900 megawatts. Approved by the Central Agency for Public Tenders, this project aims to address growing domestic electricity demand and is slated for completion in 36 months. Concurrently, the Ministry intends to invite bids for the Subiya plant and another facility at Nuwaiseeb, with a collective budget of approximately KWD1.207 billion ($3.983 billion).
