In a significant move to enhance its global leadership in smart solar tracking, Kinematics has completed the acquisition of P4Q. The integration of P4Q's high-performance electronic portfolio, including over a million solar controllers in 2400 solar installations globally, with Kinematics' 2.9 million installed solar actuators, positions the combined entity as the largest global provider of solar motion control technology with over 134 gigawatts of solar installations worldwide. The acquisition bolsters Kinematics' capability to provide comprehensive solutions in smart solar tracking by integrating designs and supplies for OEMs and enabling advanced tracking systems for future installations. This coupling enhances Kinematics' global support, offers unified motion control solutions, and sets new standards for smart solar tracking technology as noted by John Payne, CEO of Kinematics. The collaboration is expected to increase solar plant output, improve reliability, and accelerate global solar energy adoption. P4Q’s CEO, Aitor Alapont, highlights the revolutionary Self-Powered Plus (SPP) controller that reduces capital expenses and installation complexity.
