Juan de Gonzalo named CEO of BNP Paribas Wealth Management Spain

BNP Paribas has appointed Juan de Gonzalo as the new CEO of its Wealth Management division in Spain, effective from November 18, 2024. This strategic move aims to bolster the bank's presence in the Spanish market and deliver more specialized services to high-net-worth families and entrepreneurs. With over 25 years of private banking experience, de Gonzalo joins from Deutsche Bank where he led the Bank for Entrepreneurs division. His extensive background also includes key roles at UBS, specializing in UHNW clients and corporate advisory services. His educational credentials include law and business administration studies at ICADE and a wealth management certification from the Swiss Association for Quality. Cecilia Boned, President of BNP Paribas Spain, emphasized that the growth of the wealth management franchise aligns with the group's One Bank strategy, fostering collaboration across various areas like real estate and investment banking to solidify BNP Paribas' position as a leader in specialized banking services for high-net-worth clients in Spain.
