Jackman: CyberNorth CEO Retires, Leaves Lasting Legacy

Phil Jackman, the CEO and founder of CyberNorth, has retired after a distinguished career spanning four decades in the technology sector, primarily in cybersecurity. Jackman, known as 'Mr Cyber', played a pivotal role in the success of CyberNorth, contributing significantly to the growth and reputation of the cybersecurity community in both regional and international landscapes. Throughout his career, he held various influential positions, including IT Director at Spicers and head roles in North Tyneside Council and Durham County Council, before dedicating nearly a decade to Dynamo North East and consulting with Guerrilla Working. His insight and leadership established CyberNorth as a competitive player in the cybersecurity industry. Now, Jackman is succeeded by Danielle Phillips, who will continue building on his legacy. In gratitude for his contributions, CyberNorth established The Jackman Fund, supporting young and career-changing individuals aspiring to enter the cybersecurity field. Jackman's retirement marks not the end, but the beginning of a new chapter in his life, as he plans to stay active in his interests and contributions to the community.
