IVC Evidencia, a leading global veterinary care company, has further solidified its position in Portugal with the acquisition of ANIMED Hospital Veterinário de Gondomar. The acquisition, advised by Gómez-Acebo & Pombo (GA_P), marks IVC Evidencia's continued expansion in the Portuguese market. Having entered Portugal in 2021, the British-Swedish veterinary group now owns 30 veterinary centers across mainland Portugal and Madeira. This latest acquisition is part of their strategic growth plan in the region, following their purchase of Hospital Veterinário da Póvoa in Porto in 2022. The transaction was led by GA_P’s Lisbon office, with Managing Partner Mafalda Barreto at the helm, supported by a team including Leonor Rocha and João Bento Cardoso.
