Inter-Risco Acquires Stake in Grupo Veracruz for Almond and Agriculture Growth

Inter-Risco, a Portuguese private equity firm, has been advised by Telles in acquiring a strategic stake in Grupo Veracruz, a group focusing on almond production and regenerative agriculture. The acquisition was made through the Inter-Risco Consolidar Fund funded by the Banco Português de Fomento under Portugal's Recovery and Resilience Plan. Founded in 1988, Inter-Risco is noted for its mid-market investments, having executed over 112 acquisitions since 2007. This partnership aligns with both Inter-Risco's and Veracruz's commitment to sustainable practices and the creation of substantial economic and environmental value, enhancing Veracruz's influence in the almond sector in Europe. The legal advisory came through Telles's corporate practice team, headed by unnamed counsel, with support from associates André Magalhães and Catarina Isidro.
