Infracapital Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Appointments

Infracapital, a renowned player in the infrastructure investment sector and part of M&G Plc, has announced a strategic restructuring of its investment team to integrate its Brownfield, Greenfield, and Asset Management resources. This initiative is aimed at enhancing its unified approach towards investments in sustainable European infrastructure. Andy Matthews has been appointed as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO), with Mark Chladek as Deputy CIO. Additionally, Peter Mitchev, Tom Crawley, and Chris Simmonds have been promoted to Managing Directors within the investment team. The restructuring includes the creation of Fund Lead roles and an independent Asset Management Oversight led by Wael Elkhouly. The CEO, Martin Lennon, expressed that these changes are intended to bolster Infracapital's agility and ensure it continues to meet the evolving needs of its clients, particularly as they invest in companies facilitating the energy transition towards Net Zero. With substantial experience managing over £9 billion of client capital across seven funds, Infracapital is well-positioned to capture long-term infrastructure investment opportunities.
