Implico, a leading software solutions provider for digitizing supply chain processes in the energy and natural resources sector, has embarked on a new strategic direction with the backing of Egeria Capital Management, a private equity firm. The collaboration aims to transform Implico into an independent software vendor, focusing on industry-specific SAP solutions outside its traditional oil and gas midstream business. This strategic shift will allow Implico to expand its automation expertise across other industries and enhance its position as a significant SOLEX partner within the SAP ecosystem. The company emphasizes its new partnership approach by launching modular software solutions that leverage SAP S/4HANA SDM and SAP S/4HANA RFNO modules, both certified by SAP, to offer efficiency and security enhancements to business processes across various sectors. The private equity firm Egeria provides Implico with the necessary capital and support to scale up its operations and explore new markets. This strategic repositioning includes a carve-out of Implico's terminal management business into the newly formed OpenTAS GmbH, which remains with existing shareholders.
