Impact Recycling Raises £3.3m to Expand Market Reach

Impact Recycling, a Falkirk-based recycling company, has secured a follow-on investment of £3.3 million from IW Capital to extend its presence in existing and new markets. Known for its patented technology that extracts high-purity recycled polymers from post-consumer waste, Impact Recycling operates plants in Glasgow and Peterlee, serving sectors including healthcare, packaging, and waste management across the UK and Europe. The Glasgow facility focuses on recycling medical plastic waste, while the Peterlee location specializes in flexible film packaging. Previously, the company received financial boosts from Innovate UK and Nestlé, aiding the expansion of its recycling capabilities. A licensing agreement with LG Chem further underscores their industry collaborations. CEO David Walsh expressed enthusiasm for IW Capital's support, highlighting the demand from global partners and the effectiveness of their licensing model. IW Capital chairman Alan Armstrong praised Impact Recycling’s BOSS technology and its market traction as timely amidst shifting regulatory and consumer expectations.
