Immobiliare.it Expands Spanish Footprint with Pisos.com Acquisition

Immobiliare.it, an Italy-based real estate marketplace, has agreed to acquire the Spain-based platform Pisos.com from Grupo Vocento for €22.5 million in a cash deal. This transaction marks Immobiliare's expansion into Spain as it seeks to compete with Idealista, the dominant player in the region. Despite Pisos.com's current rank as the third-largest real estate marketplace in Spain trailing Idealista and Adevinta's Fotocasa, Immobiliare aims to bolster its position against its Italian competitor, Idealista, by strengthening its presence in Spain. Presently, Pisos.com has more than 8,500 clients within the real estate sector and boasts an inventory exceeding 450,000 listings. Post-acquisition, Pisos.com’s operations will be owned by Immobiliare’s holding company, Habitat.Soft SL, which also manages Pisocompartido.com and HabitatSoft. Vocento, under CEO Manuel Mirat's strategic direction, will pivot focus towards their automotive vertical, Sumauto. Mirat reiterates the group's commitment to enhancing digital offerings. Meanwhile, Silvio Pagliani, Immobiliare's CEO, underscores that the acquisition will fortify their presence and technological capabilities in Spain.
