IFCO Sees New Partnership with Stonepeak Acquisition

Stonepeak, a leading firm specializing in infrastructure and real assets, announced that it will acquire a ~50% co-controlling stake in IFCO Group from the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). IFCO is a major provider of reusable packaging solutions for fresh foods. Triton Partners, an existing stakeholder in IFCO, will continue to remain a joint partner. This move positions IFCO for further growth, leveraging Stonepeak's and Triton's respective strengths in infrastructure and digitalization. Established in 1992, IFCO facilitates over 2.5 billion shipments annually using its extensive logistics system that works through a network of 140 service centers. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approvals, with involvement from financial advisors and legal counsel from major firms.
