IDOM CaaS Technology Secures Fresh $1 Million Investment

Japan-based IDOM CaaS Technology (ICT) has secured an additional JPY150 million ($1 million U.S.) in investment through a third-party allotment of shares underwritten by Rheos Capital Works. This marks a continuation of support from Rheos, which invested JPY350 million last December. ICT, a company involved in car-as-a-service solutions, was established in April 2020 as an affiliate of Idom Inc. Its services include leasing, rental, and auto loans, branded under Norel, which has a fleet of 37,000 cars. The new funds will be used to promote initiatives encouraging personal car ownership. ICT President Naoki Yamahata highlighted the potential of the company to achieve over JPY5 billion in sales by February. Investments will also focus on using technological advancements like AI to enhance their business model.
