Idex and Guyot Energies, with legal guidance from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, are investing €70 million in an eco-friendly energy production facility in Brest, France. The project, powered by solid recovered fuels (SRF), aims to supply steam to Bunge's industrial plant, significantly cutting its reliance on natural gas and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This initiative will produce 85 GWh of heat and 20 GWh electricity annually, using 40,000 tonnes of SRF from regional non-recyclable waste. The financing package includes contributions from ADEME and bank financing arranged through Arka Banque Entreprises et Institutionnels, Bpifrance, and Banque Populaire Grand Ouest. The project execution by Polder Guyot Energies represents a collaborative effort, with Idex holding 51% and Guyot Energies 49% ownership.
