Ibersol Steps into Austrian Market with Vienna Hotel Acquisition

Ibersol, a Spanish hotel group, has marked its entry into the Austrian hospitality market by acquiring a four-star hotel in Vienna. This strategic move is part of its plan to manage the hotel under its Ibercity brand. The acquisition of the Property located on Schoenbrunner Schlossstrasse involves a lease agreement for the Quality Trend Hotel Zoo, encompassing 6,500 square meters with 118 rooms. To manage their operations in Austria, Ibersol has also established the Ibercity Wien Hotel Company. The legal advisory role for Ibersol in this transaction was fulfilled by DLA Piper, with the team comprising Partner Birgit Kraml and Associates Magdalena Krasser and Ozlem Ciftci, while the landlord GTI Immobilien sought legal counsel from Nomos, represented by Partner Mirjam Sorgo and Senior Associate Stefan Nosal.
