Howden Scotland expands with acquisition of SKB Independent Insurance

Howden Scotland, a division of the global insurance intermediary Howden, has acquired the book of business of Edinburgh-based SKB Independent Insurance Brokers Limited. Founded by Satvinder Breeze, SKB has been providing insurance services for businesses throughout Scotland and the UK, with a focus on building long-term personal relationships with clients. The acquisition will see SKB rebranded as Howden and integrated into Howden Scotland's Edinburgh team, contributing to the group's expanding network of over 200 locations across the UK and Ireland. Both Breeze and Kenny Hogg, CEO of Howden Scotland, have expressed enthusiasm for the merger, citing a shared ethos in customer service and a vision for strengthened client relationships. Howden views this acquisition as a strategic enhancement to its offerings and a step forward in its growth trajectory within the insurance sector.
