HouseEazy, an India-based proptech startup, is reportedly in advanced discussions to raise INR1.0 billion ($11.7 million) in an extended Series A funding round. The potential investors include a major venture capital firm focused on India and existing investors. A previous Series A round in August last year saw HouseEazy raising $7 million in debt and equity led by Chiratae Ventures. Founded by Tarun Sainani and Deepak Bhatia, HouseEazy uses AI to enhance transparency and transactional security within the secondary real estate market, a sector it aims to reform. It provides features such as real-time pricing, instant cash transfers, price guarantees, and 3D property walkthroughs. The company reported profits for the fiscal year ending March 2024, posting a net profit of INR3.8 million, a significant turnaround from a loss of INR4.4 million in the previous year.
