Holidu, a European rental technology platform, has successfully raised €46 million in funding. This financial backing comes from Key1 Capital, a new investor, along with existing investors such as 83North, Vintage Investment Partners, and Prime Ventures. In conjunction with this funding, Holidu has acquired French rental portal operator Cybevasion, which oversees Gites.fr and Chambres-hotes.fr. While the acquisition price remains undisclosed, it significantly bolsters Holidu's position in the French market by adding over 35,000 properties and 20 million unique visitors to its platform annually. The company, which previously secured €100 million in Series E funding in 2019, is channeling these new resources towards its artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives, enhancing its property management software (PMS), and expanding its geographic reach. Cybevasion founder Jean-Louis Desouche will continue to lead the business, and the acquisition aims to modernize Cybevasion’s offerings, providing automated and advanced booking technologies to French hosts. Holidu, which is Germany-based, is now poised for further growth in France, marking its eighth acquisition. The integration of Cybevasion is expected to provide French hosts an edge in increasing occupancy rates and enhancing international visibility.
