Hofi Secures Major Stake in Silve

Hofi, formally known as Holding Funeraria Italiana, has acquired a 70% stake in the funerary infrastructure company, Silve. This move further cements Hofi's influence in the cremation sector, as they are already active through Eco Fly in various Italian cities. Hofi is supported by institutional investors such as Antin Infrastructure Partners, Augens Capital, and Columbia Threadneedle. The acquisition was facilitated by legal and financial advisors including LMS, Martinez & Partners, and EY for Hofi, while the Rossi family, the previous owners of Silve, were advised by RTZ and NRTZ. Founded in 1920, Silve operates crematoriums primarily in Tuscany, Lazio, and is expanding in Friuli Venezia-Giulia. The partnership aims to consolidate Hofi's sectoral growth, building on its 2019 acquisition of San Siro in Milan. The administration of Silve will remain under the Rossi family leadership, ensuring continuity. Hofi President Marco Mantica sees this as a significant strategic advancement, while Silve's President, Alberto Rossi, anticipates strengthened operations from this collaboration.
